Traditional
sponsored-research programs seem to often result in client
dissatisfaction. The principal problem
appears to be absence of measurable impact, stemming from the fact that gauging
readership of the reports has mostly been an inexact exercise. Seaside
is shifting the research report paradigm.
Given its high degree of confidence that its Profiles will attract a
large readership, Seaside has adopted a per-click pricing structure,
counting only first-time clicks from each reader. Initial production of the Profiles is free! This
model relies upon total transparency of the data. Seaside's highly detailed statistics are
gathered by a trusted third party (StatCounter.com). These statistics are posted for everyone to
view, in real time, at the end of each of the Profiles. Note that we charge only for each reader's
first click on a Profile (based purely on a cookie), as measured by
StatCounter.com. Seaside's
confidence in attracting a large readership is based upon the value-added
nature of its Profiles, detailed knowledge of how to achieve high Google
Search rankings for the Profiles, and a site design that encourages readers
of one Profile to peruse many of the others. The
fee for Seaside's Profiles service is $20 for each reader's first click, with
no minimum commitment other than (a) a link to the Profile from the client's
own web site, (b) a press release announcing the availability of the Profile,
and (c) a $20,000 advance payment (unused portion fully refundable). Restricted stock (valued at 50% of market
price) is also an accepted form of payment. Here
